C-BERT’s definition of International Campus

 

An entity that is owned, at least in part, by a foreign higher education provider; operated in the name of the foreign education provider; and provides an entire academic program, substantially on site, leading to a degree awarded by the foreign education provider.

The Cross-Border Education Research Team (C-BERT) is the source for information regarding college and universities with a multi-national presence.

 

C-BERT provides information about and conducts research on colleges and universities with a multi-national presence. This includes maintaining a comprehensive list of international campuses and tracking other aspects of cross-border higher education.

C-BERT is co-hosted at Miami University (OH) and Pennsylvania State University.

Co-founded by Kevin Kinser and Jason Lane, C-BERT is comprised of research associates, visiting scholars, and doctoral and postdoctoral researchers with varying geographic expertise and linguistic familiarity.
