The liberal arts have a big role to play in our post-truth world

The day after Donald Trump was elected the 45th president of the United States, Marlene Johnson, executive director of the Association of International Educators, put into writing what many of her colleagues had been concerned about privately: “There are two things that will always remain true, ” she wrote, regardless of who sits in the White House. First, “international education work is critical to the nation we want to be”.
