Sarah T. Zipf, Ph.D., earned her degree in Higher Education from the Pennsylvania State University. Prior to starting her doctoral education, she served as the Associate Director of Compliance and Financial Aid for Outreach & Online Education, overseeing the financial aid office and scholarship portfolio for the Penn State World Campus. As a graduate assistant for the division of Outreach & Online Education, Sarah worked with state authorization regulations. Currently, Sarah is a research associate for the Department of Education Policy Studies, where she works with Drs. Kevin Kinser and John Cheslock on online program management (OPMs) research. Dr. Zipf’s dissertation research focused on the experiences of racialization in online undergraduate classrooms. Her research interests include educational equity, financial aid, nontraditional students, and online education.
